Wimpole. Yep. Another picnic.

Another weekend.  More scorching hot weather (so hot in fact we left Wimpole early as there was no shade which made it unbearable).  We made the most of it thought and visited Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire.  We took a picnic (this time with lovely fresh English strawberries) and enjoyed our lunch in a shady patch…

Another picnic at Ickworth

Well why not?  The weather has been glorious so why not get out and enjoy it! Also gives me another excuse to take the camera out 🙂 Oh, the rare shot of me is because Richard bought himself a Canon M3 today! Take a look at my previous photos from Ickworth House.

On our doorstep

In another day of dark, sad news it was lovely to enjoy some space and some light. Cannot believe we have just discovered Orwell Country Park.  6 years after moving to the area we happened across this wonderfully idyllic spot. A photography day in Lincolnshire

Richard and I took a drive to Lincolnshire today to visit Belton House. The day started quite thundery but thankfully by the time we got there the weather was glorious. We decided to pack our cameras and have a day of gentle walks and shooting whatever caught our eye. It gave me an opportunity to…

VR and Drone Photography

Who would have thought that I would be able to produce HD 360 VR footage of Richard and I flying our drone on the beach!? What is truly remarkable is that the kit we used is consumer grade, off the shelf stuff and all fits within one small bag. Kit list: Yuneec Breeze 4K Drone…

Montage

I am very pleased with my progress through my Photography course with the British Academy of Photography. So much so, I have put together a video to showcase a collection of my photographs and timelapse videos I have shot whilst embarking on this journey. Take a look: Please do let me know what you think and…

My World View

Whilst at The Photography Show on Saturday, Richard gave me a 360 camera.  I have been having some fun with it since the weekend 🙂 To experience this video in full 360 view, please use Chrome, then use your arrow keys (or your vr headset!) to move around the video.

More London and a Weekend of Photography

I made myself take a proper lunch break in the week and took my Fuji X70 out with me on my walk. I had no plan and no route but snapped away whenever I felt inspired. Some things I’ve shot before. Some I haven’t.  I also tried a more abstract approach to street photography which…

A tiny visitor

Small beetle visitng a crocus in the garden. Take a closer look at the photo here

This may come as a surprise…

… I actually managed to get out and go for a run! I finally feel well enough to get my running shoes back on and get back out there. I am not sure my chest/nose would agree as I had to stop a couple times due to the cold air but I am happy I…

A bleak weekend

Not the brightest of weekends but the opportunity to try and capture the mood, the light and the snow with a time-lapse video. This is my largest volume of shots yet to create this time-lapse – nearly 2,000 photos!
