Summer into Autumn

The summer was packed with days out, new experiences and the odd bit of decorating. Richard and I took a trip on the Tornado steam train from Walton on the Naze to Colchester in August.  The Tornado is a new steam train which has been built by hand based on a traditional steam locomotive.  It was…

Quite the celebration

I think it is quite clear Richard has enjoyed his extended birthday celebrations 🙂   Happy Birthday Baby, this is one you’ll remember for a while!

Happy Tilly-versary!

A year ago today we adopted Tilly from the local Blue Cross animal shelter. After having mature cats for so long it’s been a reboot of the learning curve with Tilly about the house. She’s a young cat and is into everything (although miraculously the Christmas tree is still standing – one more day..!). We…

Autumnal Sunday Lunchtime Run

It’s almost a year since I ran the Adnams Southwold 10K and I am not currently running that level of distance.  This is because this year has been structured differently for us, we’ve recently been away, we have been very busy with work# and next weekend I cannot participate in the Southwold race as we will…

Dunwich Heath

Richard and I love Dunwich Heath, whatever the weather it’s always a breathtaking spot.   Unfortunately when we visited with Richards sister and family it was in the wake of Hurricane Bertha.  Saying that, I still think it’s stunning even in these conditions. Check out my short video:

Pride 10K – 59:58 – New PB :)

Done it!  I completed the Pride 10K in London in 59:58 – beating my dreaded over 1 hour 10K and beating my personal best. Thankfully this course was much flatter than the Hatfield Forest 10K but boy was it faster! I started the run far too quickly and had to pull back – it was a mix…
